CAN/ULC-S1001 Integrated Systems Testing of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems Training

CAN/ULC-S1001 Integrated Systems Testing of
Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems – AHJ Training

ABOUT THE SESSION:

Since the publication of the 2015 National Building and Fire Codes of Canada, ULC has been receiving numerous inquiries from building and fire officials across the country in regards to CAN/ULC-S1001 – Standard for Integrated Systems Testing of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems.

As a result of this, ULC has developed an interactive 3-hour free virtual AHJ training. Our GoTo Training platform can accommodate 50 participants. Here are some of the topics that are covered during the training:

  • The history of the Canadian National Building and Fire Codes and the origin of the CAN/ULC-S1001 Standard. We will also discuss testing qualifications, the testing process, and some of the key requirements for periodic, retroactive, and modifications testing.
  • Integrated testing requirements and procedures as outlined in Section 6 of the CAN/ULC-S1001 Standard.
  • Documentation and testing forms found in Section 7 of the CAN/ULC-S1001 Standard, as well as the sample integrated testing plan found in Appendix C.

Upon completion of the training session, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
