  1. What is your current job title and which area do you cover?

Senior Housing Inspector (Electrical) with The City of Winnipeg.

  1. How long have you worked with in the industry?

I have 25 years industry experience to date.

  1. How long have you been a member of MBOA?

I have been a member since May 2017.

  1. Why did you become a member of the MBOA?

To keep up on code changes and building requirements, as well as access to resources I normally wouldn’t have in industry.

  1. What do you love most about being a building inspector?

I get to witness new construction practices and design, applied in a real-life situation, which helps me stay current in my field.

  1. Has becoming a member of the MBOA helped you in your career?

It gives me better understanding of legislation and building codes and how they relate to one another.

  1. Do you have any mentors in your professional life?

Many of my colleagues I work with in the City of Winnipeg.

  1. What is your favourite hobby or leisure activity?

Camping, Hiking.

  1. What is your favourite sports team?

Winnipeg Jets

  1. What is something unique or something we may not know about you that people in the MBOA might find interesting?

Prior to becoming a Building Inspector, I spent many years as a Journeyman Construction Electrician as well as working in an engineering firm as an Electrical Contract Administrator. This has given me perspective from both sides of construction.
