Building Construction Technician – RM of Springfield

2. How long have you worked with in the industry?

15 years

3. How long have you been a member of MBOA?

A few years now.

4. Why did you become a member of the MBOA? 

To interact with people in the industry and to learn and grow in my chosen career path.

5. What do you love most about being a building inspector?

Although not a Building Inspector yet, I love the Code and helping people with their questions related to their projects.

6. Has becoming a member of the MBOA helped you in your career?

I would say it has most certainly has.

7. Do you have any mentors in your professional life?

Our Building Inspectors, Gerry Gray and Brad Hlady as well as our Director of Planning, Dan Doucet, have been instrumental in my learning journey and encourage me every step of the way.

8. What is your favourite hobby or leisure activity?

Golf and rather embarrassing but I crochet….

9. What is your favourite sports team?

I watch absolutely zero sports. So there is no answer to this question.

10. What is something unique or something we may not about you that people in the MBOA might find interesting

I was born and raised in Scotland.
