Started in construction at the age of 17.

Have worked the past 6 years as a building official.

3. How long have you been a member of MBOA?

6 years

4. Why did you become a member of the MBOA? 

Networking and to assist in learning

5. What do you love most about being a building inspector?

I enjoy helping people build safer houses

6. Has becoming a member of the MBOA helped you in your career?

MBOA is a great way to network and see what is happening in the industry

7. Do you have any mentors in your professional life?

Lots of mentors…. Every other inspector you can learn from!

8. What is your favourite hobby or leisure activity?

Playing with my two grandsons and try to travel at least once a year

9. What is your favourite sports team?

Vikings!  Just because I am Icelandic!
 

10. What is something unique or something we may not about you that people in the MBOA might find interesting

I have a passion for bringing all building inspectors together, working as one, being on the same team.  At the same time, still be here to assist builders and homeowners to get their projects moving forward, done correctly, with less rework.  Educate myself so I can help others.
