1. What is your current job title and which area do you cover?

Job Title - Plumbing/Building inspector.

For plumbing inspections, I cover everything plumbing related in the city of Brandon.

For building inspections, I have recently started doing accessory buildings in the City of Brandon.

2. How long have you worked with in the industry?

I’ve been in the industry for 14 years. 13 of that was in the field as a new construction plumber and then roughly 1 year as an inspector

3. How long have you been a member of MBOA?

I’ve been a member of MBOA for less then a year.

4. Why did you become a member of the MBOA? 

Because it’s what all the cool kids are doing

5. What do you love most about being a building inspector?

Knowing that buildings are being built correctly and to code. Ensuring people are getting the quality they paid for.

6. Has becoming a member of the MBOA helped you in your career?

I believe MBOA has helped my career by offering courses that have furthered my knowledge and make me better at enforcing the code.

7. Do you have any mentors in your professional life?

Since I started with the city of Brandon, I feel like everyone on the staff has done an amazing job mentoring me and guiding me into this new roll.

8. What is your favourite hobby or leisure activity?

I enjoy being in nature. Stuff like hiking, kayaking, and camping are my go-to leisure activities when I find time.

9. What is your favourite sports team?

Not really a sports fan to be honest.

10. What is something unique or something we may not about you that people in the MBOA might find interesting

I enjoy making homemade wine and mead from scratch. No kits.
